On 21 September 2026, on the great feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, His Eminence Metropolitan Leonty, Archbishop of Belaya Krinitsa and Bucharest, Metropolitan of all Ancient Orthodox Old Rite Christians, First Hierarch of the Ancient Orthodox Church of the Belokrinitskaya Hierarchy, celebrated the Holy and Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the patronal feast of the church.
Serving together with His Eminence were the parish priest, Father Alexander Kostilov, as well as other clergy who took part in the spiritual joy of this festive day.
A large number of faithful gathered beneath the vaults of the holy church, including believers who had come from other parishes of our Church in Romania, in order to share in the common joy of the ecclesiastical feast and to offer prayers to the Most Holy Mother of God.
In his address to the faithful, His Eminence Metropolitan Leonty spoke about the spiritual significance of the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God and about the Christian calling to preserve the faith as a living and active reality.
Particular emphasis was placed on the education of the younger generation in the faith and Tradition of the Church, as well as on the preservation and transmission of our ancestral ecclesiastical customs and traditions. His Eminence stressed the importance that young people should not remain merely acquainted with the tradition, but should become living participants in the life of the Church, taking part in the divine services, in the life of the community, and in the preservation of the spiritual heritage received from those who came before us.
Only through their direct closeness to the Church and their active participation in its life can young people understand how beautiful, profound and important our traditions are, and how great the responsibility is to preserve them and pass them on to future generations.
Following the dismissal of the Holy Divine Liturgy, the rite of the washing of the holy relics was performed, followed by a procession around the church, in prayer and in the spiritual joy of the feast.
For the entire community, this day was an occasion for common prayer, for strengthening in the faith, and for bearing witness to the continuity of the Tradition of the Ancient Orthodox Church.
